This week marked the arrival of the Honor Magic7 lineup in Europe, featuring the Honor Magic7 Pro available for pre-order and the Magic7 Lite hitting the shelves. Joining them is the exclusive Magic7 RSR Porsche Design, which adds a luxurious touch to the collection.
While the Pro and RSR share many features, the RSR distinguishes itself with a unique design, a robust 5,850mAh battery (compared to 5,270mAh in the global Pro), and an upgraded telephoto camera.
The Honor Magic7 Pro boasts a sleek 6.8” curved display, featuring a 10-bit LTPO panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision, HDR, and robust Giant Rhino Glass protection. With an IP68/IP69 rating, it is resistant to water and dust.
Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite, both the Pro and RSR are equipped with impressive 50MP main cameras (with large 1/1.3” sensors) featuring variable apertures (f/1.4-f/2.0) and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). The Pro offers a 200MP telephoto camera (f/2.6), while the RSR has an 180MP telephoto camera with a wider aperture (f/1.9). Charging capabilities include 100W wired and 80W wireless options, and users can expect 5 years of OS updates and security support from Honor.
On the other hand, the Honor Magic7 Lite serves as a mid-range option powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chip. It features a solid 6.78” OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and impressive peak brightness of up to 4,000 nits, closely rivaling its flagship counterparts.
However, it features a 108MP main camera (with a fixed aperture), along with a basic 5MP ultra-wide camera, showing it does not aim to compete with the flagship models. The 16MP selfie camera also feels underwhelming compared to the 50MP found in the higher-end models. The standout feature of the Lite is its massive 6,600mAh battery that supports fast 66W charging.
Pricing varies as well, with the Pro bundled with a free Honor MagicPad 2 (valued at €600/£500), while the Lite comes with the Honor Earbuds Open (worth £150).
