Oppo is set to launch a new smartphone in its A5 series, featuring an astonishingly large battery. Recently, hands-on photos of this upcoming device surfaced, revealing its model number, which helped us locate it on TENAA.

According to the images and the specs listed, the device boasts a massive 6,500 mAh battery (with a minimal capacity of 6,330 mAh, divided into two cells) and a stunning 6.7” AMOLED display.

This marks the third iteration of the Oppo A5 series, following the models launched in 2018 and 2020. The Oppo A series enjoys immense popularity in its home market, catering to a wide range of consumers from budget to mid-range options.

The new device features the same Full HD+ resolution front panel as the A5 Pro, along with an in-display fingerprint scanner. On the back, it showcases a dual camera setup comprising a 50 MP primary sensor and a 2 MP secondary sensor neatly arranged on a squircle island.

The device is powered by a Snapdragon 695 chipset featuring a 2.2 GHz CPU and supports 45W fast wired charging, making it a compelling option for smartphone enthusiasts. Although Oppo sometimes releases A series models globally, this A5 is expected to debut in China first.
