Oppo is gearing up for the upcoming release of its latest smartwatch, the Watch X2, which is anticipated to include an innovative blood pressure monitoring feature. This significant addition, aimed at promoting health awareness among users, was highlighted by Zhou Yibao, the Product Manager at Oppo.
The Watch X2 was recently showcased in a live demonstration, revealing a stylish round display flanked by two functional buttons on the side. The smartwatch is expected to hit the market in February, coinciding with the launch of the Oppo Find N5, touted as the "world's thinnest foldable" device.

The design appears unique, although it seems to be protected by an oversized casing, likely to shield it from prying eyes prior to its official announcement.
The Oppo executive noted that the Watch X2 can proactively alert users about potential high blood pressure risks, encouraging them to pay closer attention to their diet and daily habits. Hypertension is recognized globally as the leading risk factor for mortality.
This marks Oppo's debut in the blood pressure monitoring segment within its wearables. Meanwhile, its counterpart company, OnePlus, has already introduced this functionality in the Watch 2. With this development, Oppo joins the elite list of brands like Samsung, Huawei, Google (including Fitbit), and Garmin, all of which offer similar health-monitoring features in their products.
