Samsung is gearing up for its highly anticipated Unpacked event on January 22, where the tech giant is set to unveil the Galaxy S25 series. The promotional material has teased what appears to be four devices, sparking excitement among fans. These include the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, Galaxy S25 Ultra, and the much-discussed new Galaxy S25 Slim.

However, a recent leak from China suggests that the release of the Galaxy S25 Slim may not happen until May.

The upcoming smartphone is rumored to be just 6.5 mm thick, positioning it as a spacious device that bridges the gap between the Plus and Ultra models in terms of size. Featuring a 6.6” AMOLED display with a resolution surpassing 1080p and a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate, the S25 Slim is designed for a premium user experience.

Its slim profile hints at a new silicon-carbon battery that is both lighter and capable of holding a substantial charge – estimated to be around 5,000 mAh.

It's worth noting that this isn't the first indication of a delay for the S25 Slim, and there is still uncertainty surrounding the rumor's validity, particularly in relation to its implications for the Chinese market. All eyes will be on the Unpacked event next Wednesday as Samsung sheds more light on its plans.
