Despite the dismissive remarks made by the late Steve Jobs at the launch of the original iPhone in 2007, the stylus remains a popular feature in many smartphones today. Some styluses, such as Samsung's S Pen, enhance user experience with their extensive functionalities. The newly released Moto G Stylus 5G (2024) has also demonstrated that its stylus offers more than simple pointing capabilities.

Last Year’s Model Received Praise for Its Battery Life

A glance at the specifications of the Moto G Stylus 5G (2024) can offer insights into the upcoming model. The 2024 edition boasted a 6.7-inch P-OLED display with a peak brightness of 1,200 nits, powered by a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor. Its camera system included a rear 50MP and 13MP for Wide and Ultra-wide lenses, and a 32MP front-facing camera, supported by a robust 5000mAh battery.
Last May, the Moto G Stylus 5G (2024) launched at $399.99, featuring 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. For those seeking stylus functionality without the premium price of devices like the Galaxy S25 Ultra, the Moto G Stylus 5G (2025) could be a compelling alternative.
The 2024 model received a score of 5.9 out of 10 in our review, particularly praised for its exemplary battery life. However, we expressed concerns regarding the limited support for Android updates—just one year. It is hoped that Motorola will commit to more extensive software updates for the upcoming model.
