Motorola has made a significant impact in the mobile world with its iconic Razr models, and it continues to innovate with its foldable smartphones. Recent developments suggest that the much-anticipated Motorola Razr 60 Ultra, also known as the Razr Plus (2025) in the U.S., has been spotted online and has received certification on India's BIS portal. This development has led to speculation that the Razr 60 Ultra may arrive sooner than expected, notably because its model number aligns with previous releases—the Razr 50 Ultra carried the model number XT2451. If the Razr 60 Ultra is indeed the same device, it could make headlines earlier than its predecessor, which was certified in April and launched in June. With the current certification appearing three months earlier, a launch as early as March or April could be on the horizon, although this is still speculative.

So far, leaks regarding the Razr 60 Ultra's specifications and design remain scarce, keeping tech enthusiasts guessing. Based on the current Razr model, which utilizes the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, expectations suggest that the next iteration might feature the upgraded Snapdragon 8s Elite. In terms of display, it is likely that we will see a similar 6.9-inch inner screen, potentially reaching brightness levels of 3,000 nits. Furthermore, the refresh rate may stay at 165Hz, providing an exceptionally smooth experience that surpasses the standard 120Hz refresh rates found in most smartphones. The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7, projected to be released in the summer of 2025, is expected to be a major competitor for the Razr Plus (2025). For context, the previous Razr Plus (2024) was unveiled on June 25 with pre-orders commencing on July 10 and sales beginning on July 24. Interestingly, this timeline mirrored its competitor, the Galaxy Z Flip 6, which followed a similar release schedule. If Motorola is successful in launching the Razr Plus (2025) ahead of schedule, it might capture the attention of foldable phone consumers eager for new options before Samsung's unveiling, thereby strengthening Motorola’s position in the foldable market.
