The highly anticipated Oppo Find N5, touted as the world's thinnest foldable smartphone, is set to launch this February. CEO of OnePlus and CPO of Oppo, Pete Lau, recently unveiled images showcasing the device's impressively sleek design, which rivals the thickness of a pencil.

In comparison to traditional wooden pencils, which typically measure around 7 to 8 millimeters (mm) in diameter, the Oppo Find N5 is expected to be even slimmer. Competing against the current thinnest foldable, the Honor Magic V3, which measures 4.4 mm when unfolded and 9.2 mm when folded, the Oppo Find N5 aims to set a new standard with an estimated thickness of around 4 mm.
Interestingly, the OnePlus Open 2 will closely resemble the Oppo Find N5, given that OnePlus operates as a subsidiary of Oppo under the BBK Electronics group. This historical collaboration often leads to shared designs and features between the two brands, making the similarities unsurprising. In fact, the OnePlus Open 2 is launching sooner than anticipated, a welcome change for those eager for an upgrade from the previous model which debuted in 2023.

With a series of upgrades on the horizon, the OnePlus Open 2 is anticipated to feature a larger 8-inch inner display that offers a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, a notable upgrade over the 7.82-inch display found on its predecessor. Additionally, the outer display is set to expand to 6.4 inches, increasing from 6.31 inches in the original model.
