Samsung is gearing up to launch its much-anticipated Galaxy S25 series in just two weeks. Among the standout models expected is the Galaxy S25 Ultra, but recent leaks suggest a significant change: the S Pen may lose its Bluetooth functionality.
According to leakster Ishan Agarwal, who spoke with retail insiders, the latest iteration of the S Pen will no longer support Bluetooth, resulting in the removal of popular features like gestural controls and remote camera operation.

Presently, users can utilize a single press to capture images, a double press to toggle between camera modes, and swiping gestures to switch settings such as photo modes. These functionalities are part of a feature set known as Air Actions, which allows users to navigate their devices effortlessly by waving the stylus for commands like Back, Home, Recent, and Smart Select. This advanced functionality has been a staple feature across various flagship devices, including the Galaxy Note series, all Galaxy S models released since 2021, and flagship tablets from the Tab S7 to the Tab S10.
Overview of Air Actions Functions
The decision to eliminate Bluetooth remote controls could be seen as a regression, potentially deterring some users from upgrading to the S25 Ultra. While Samsung likely has insights into the usage frequency of these features, they may aim to defend this move by highlighting the new design of the Galaxy S25 Ultra with rounded edges, which allows for a slightly more compact stylus to fit within the device.
