We are excited to present our in-depth review of the Xiaomi Pad 7, the latest addition to Xiaomi's tablet lineup. Sporting a sleek design and impressive specifications, this device aims to cater to a wide range of users from casual consumers to professionals seeking a reliable and powerful tablet experience.
The unit we explored is the Indian variant, which shares its design and features with the model unveiled in China. The Pad 7 showcases an elegant all-aluminum body with a thickness of just 6.18mm and a weight of 500g, ensuring portability without compromising durability.
At the front, the tablet boasts an impressive 11.2-inch IPS LCD display with a 3:2 aspect ratio and a resolution of 3200x2136. Users can enjoy a maximum refresh rate of 144Hz, coupled with a claimed peak brightness of 800 nits, along with support for HDR10 and Dolby Vision, making it an excellent choice for multimedia consumption.
An added feature for the Pad 7 is the optional nano-texture display. This technology provides a matte finish that reduces reflections by up to 65%, delivering a tactile and paper-like experience. However, it's noteworthy that the review unit we examined did not come equipped with this feature, as it is only available in select configurations.
Powering the Pad 7 is the capable Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset, paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage. Additional features include a 13MP rear camera, an 8MP ultra-wide front camera, a quad-speaker setup with Dolby Atmos, an IR blaster, and the latest iteration of Xiaomi's HyperOS 2. Accompanying all these features is a robust 8850mAh battery supporting 45W Turbo Charging.
Xiaomi is also launching a couple of accessories, such as the Focus Keyboard, which comes with a trackpad and backlit adaptive keys. This keyboard magnetically attaches to the Pad 7 and connects via pogo pins located on the back. Additionally, the Focus Pen stylus is designed for performance with 0g activation force, 8192 levels of pressure sensitivity, and ultra-low latency, enhancing the device's productivity capabilities.
The Xiaomi Pad 7 will be available in three attractive colors: Graphite Grey, Sage Green, and Mirage Purple, appealing to various aesthetic preferences.
