Lenovo has officially launched a new range of Legion-branded gaming devices, which includes not only handheld consoles but also laptops, desktops, monitors, and a standout addition to their lineup: the Lenovo Legion Tab 2025. This tablet aims to elevate the mobile gaming experience with significant upgrades and impressive specifications.
The Lenovo Legion Tab 2025 comes equipped with the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, contributing to a remarkable performance boost over its predecessor, the 8+ Gen 1. Priced at $500, this tablet boasts an impressive configuration featuring 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM (operating at 8,533MHz) and 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage. Additionally, Lenovo has enhanced the ColdFront vapor chamber cooling system, which is now 14% larger to ensure optimal temperature management during intense gaming sessions.
Enhanced Display and Features for Gamers
The display is another highlight of the Legion Tab 2025, featuring an 8.8-inch LCD with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels (16:10 aspect ratio). The screen's refresh rate has been increased from 144Hz to a stunning 165Hz, providing smoother visuals for fast-paced gaming. Furthermore, the display offers a peak brightness of 900 nits in high brightness mode, along with 98% DCI-P3 coverage and HDR10 support, making it perfect for immersive gaming experiences.
The updated chipset also introduces enhanced connectivity options, including support for Wi-Fi 7 (with 6GHz band capabilities) for faster and lower-latency connections, and Bluetooth 5.4. The tablet features two USB-C ports — one located at the bottom and the other on the side — allowing passthrough charging that extends the 6,550mAh battery's lifespan while minimizing heat buildup during usage. One of these ports is capable of fast data transfer at 10Gbps, while the other functions at USB 2.0 speed.
The Lenovo Legion Tab 2025 operates on Android 14, including specialized gaming software such as Legion Space and Game Assistant designed to balance performance and battery life. Lenovo has committed to providing three software updates for the device.
The tablet sports a sleek metal chassis available in Eclipse Black, weighing in at 350g (0.77 lbs), slightly thicker at 7.8mm compared to its predecessor. For audio enthusiasts, it features dual 2712 superlinear speakers with Dolby Atmos support and two microphones. Additionally, the device comes with a 13MP rear camera (accompanied by a 2MP macro lens) and an 8MP front-facing camera.
