Backers of the Minimal Phone, which has faced significant delays since its anticipated launch last August, are reportedly nearing their breaking point as rumors circulate that the device may finally ship within two weeks. The Minimal Phone promises a balance between connectivity and simplicity, featuring 6GB of RAM, a MediaTek Helio G99 processor, and 128GB of expandable storage. With a 16MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera, this sleek device aims to provide essential smartphone functions without the distractions of modern technology.
The phone boasts a robust 3000mAh battery, allowing for up to four days of use on a single charge. It supports Wi-Fi 5, NFC, and Bluetooth 5.0 and includes GPS, a fingerprint sensor, and DualSIM capabilities. Its minimalistic design is tailored for users who prefer to detach from excessive digital engagement while still having connectivity features when needed.
The product was initially slated for release in August, only to be postponed to September, then further pushed to a vague timeline between November and December. Despite multiple updates, the Minimal Phone has yet to be delivered, leading to frustration among backers. The company's FAQ indicates that deliveries may finally start in December, but as the new year began, expectations were again unmet.
