CES 2025 kicked off with excitement as Samsung showcased its latest innovations in display technology during its First Look event. The spotlight was on a series of advanced TVs, an interactive projector, and a revolutionary beauty mirror, all infused with cutting-edge artificial intelligence capabilities. This year, the company emphasized how AI can enhance user experiences in everyday life.
Samsung introduced “Samsung Vision AI,” a pioneering technology designed to make screens smarter and more adaptable. This new feature enables devices to understand their environment and cater to individual preferences, showcasing practical applications that enhance usability.
Among the standout features is Live Translate, an impressive on-device AI model that provides real-time translation of subtitles, ensuring users have access to content in their preferred language, no matter where it’s from. This addresses a common frustration of viewers who often struggle to find subtitles in their language.
The Click to Search functionality is another notable feature, allowing users to easily obtain information about content displayed on their screens, such as identifying actors or scenes. This strikes a resemblance to Amazon’s X-Ray feature, but operates without pre-prepared content.

Furthermore, Samsung Vision AI integrates seamlessly with the SmartThings ecosystem, offering beneficial features like Home Insights for daily updates and alerts. The technology can even dim the lights if a child falls asleep in front of the screen, showcasing its ability to create a more user-friendly home environment.
In partnership with Microsoft, Samsung is set to introduce Copilot to its Smart TVs and Smart Monitors, alongside collaborations with Google and additional AI partners for more expansive capabilities.
The announcement also included the Samsung Neo QLED 8K QN990F, a large 85-inch TV featuring 8K resolution. With the NQ8 AI Gen3 processor, viewers can upscale lower-resolution content to 8K and enjoy enhanced visuals thanks to innovations like Auto HDR Remastering Pro and Color Booster Pro. Additionally, the Adaptive Sound Pro technology ensures sophisticated audio by distinguishing various sound components.
Samsung’s popular The Frame is evolving with the introduction of The Frame Pro, which boasts a Neo QLED panel for superior local dimming, deeper blacks, and an NQ4 Gen3 AI processor. In a noteworthy collaboration with Art Basel, The Frame is now the official art display for the prestigious international art fair.

Not just limited to traditional TVs, Samsung unveiled The Premiere 5, a groundbreaking triple-laser ultra-short-throw projector that supports touch functionality, allowing for interactive content display (view the demo video below).
Lastly, the Micro LED Beauty Mirror is set to revolutionize personal care with its ability to provide tailored beauty insights by analyzing the user's skin type, developed in partnership with Amorepacific, a leading cosmetics brand in Korea.
