Samsung Galaxy F16 5G Imminent Launch Confirmed by Geekbench Listing

Source: Date:

The anticipation surrounding the Samsung Galaxy F16 5G is building as the device has recently surfaced in a Geekbench benchmark test. This follows its certification in India by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), officially hinting at its impending release.

The benchmark data reveals that the Galaxy F16 5G will be equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, mirroring the specifications found in certain variants of the Galaxy A16 5G. The prototype tested boasted 8GB of RAM, but it's worth noting that the F16 5G may also come in configurations with 4GB and 6GB options, similar to its A16 counterpart.

Another notable detail from the Geekbench results suggests that the Galaxy F16 5G will initially run on Android 14 layered with One UI 6.x. This choice might raise eyebrows as it lags behind the latest Android 15, which has already been around for a few months. Samsung seems to be trailing its competitors in terms of timely software updates, which could be a factor in this decision.

The prototype achieved a single-core score of 678 and a multi-core score of 1,902 in Geekbench version 6.3.0, signaling decent performance for a mid-range device.
