OnePlus 13R Expected to Feature Enhanced Camera Setup with Telephoto Lens

Source: Date:

The anticipation surrounding the OnePlus 13R is building as new rumors suggest it will come equipped with an upgraded camera configuration, including a dedicated telephoto lens. This development signifies a notable improvement over its predecessor, the Ace 5, which lacked this feature.

The rumored specifications reveal that the OnePlus 13R will incorporate a robust 50 MP main camera featuring Sony's advanced Lytia LYT-700 sensor. In addition, photography enthusiasts can look forward to an 8 MP ultrawide camera and a specialized 50 MP telephoto lens that offers 2x optical zoom, utilizing Samsung's ISOCELL JN5 sensor. For selfies, a 16 MP front-facing camera is also expected to be integrated.

In contrast, the Ace 5's camera arrangement includes the same 50 MP main and 8 MP ultrawide cameras, but it opts for a decorative 2 MP macro sensor in lieu of the telephoto lens. If these rumors prove accurate, the international release of the OnePlus 13R will elevate its capabilities in the photography department compared to the China-only Ace 5, though it might slightly compromise battery capacity.
