Exciting new health features have surfaced, thanks to recent revelations found within the OHealth app (version 4.30.11_e27d199_241122). Among the updates, the app seems to be positioned to offer various advanced functionalities for the OnePlus Watch 3, most notably, the inclusion of ECG (electrocardiogram) capabilities. This means users can expect the device to detect conditions such as Afib, frequent PVCs (premature ventricular contractions), and variations in heart rates. Notably, the OnePlus Watch 2 does not feature ECG support, marking a significant upgrade for its successor. Moreover, while certain requirements must be met on your smartphone to utilize the ECG functionality in the OHealth app, it's likely that the watch will allow direct access to this feature. In addition to ECG, Android Authority has identified a Wrist Temperature function in the health app. This feature requires users to establish a baseline temperature by wearing the watch while sleeping for at least five nights, ensuring that one of those sessions lasts four or more hours.Another innovative addition is the 60-second Checkup feature, designed to assess three main health risks: heart health, blood vessel elasticity, and sleep snoring. This quick checkup will analyze seven different health indicators, including blood oxygen levels, ECG readings, sleep quality, vascular age, and more.Additionally, the app will introduce a Health tab, which will encompass Health Insights and Health Journey features, providing users with a comprehensive view of their health data. While some of these features may eventually roll out to previous OnePlus Watch models like the OnePlus Watch 2, they are expected to debut with the OnePlus Watch 3. Given the increasing competition in the smartwatch market, particularly from established players like Apple and Samsung, the introduction of these health-focused functionalities signifies OnePlus's dedication to innovation in wearable technology.
