LG has just introduced an exciting addition to the gaming monitor landscape with its new UltraGear GX9 series, featuring the 45GX990A and 45GX950A models. These impressive 45-inch displays boast a stunning 5K2K resolution (5,120 x 2,160 pixels) and a cinematic 21:9 aspect ratio, designed to enhance the gaming experience. Players will appreciate the ultra-fast 0.03ms (GtG) response time and the variable refresh rate support; however, specific refresh rate details are yet to be disclosed.

One of the standout features of the 45GX990A model is its ability to transition from a completely flat screen to an immersive 900R curved display at the touch of a button. This flexibility caters to gamers torn between the traditional flat design and the immersive experience offered by curved monitors. In contrast, the 45GX950A boasts a fixed 800R curvature, providing a more conventional curved display experience.

Both monitors come equipped with advanced gaming technology, including Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, as well as modern connectivity options such as HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 2.1. Additionally, LG's Anti-Glare & Low Reflection (AGLR) coating ensures an enjoyable viewing experience, while USB-C connectivity with 90W power delivery adds further convenience. Another impressive feature is LG's Dual-Mode capability, which allows for automatic adjustments in aspect ratio and picture size, tailoring the display to various content types.

As of now, LG has not disclosed pricing or availability information for the UltraGear GX9 series. However, the company has confirmed that further details will be unveiled at CES 2025, promising a thrilling look into the future of gaming displays.
