OnePlus has officially introduced the next generation of its smartphone lineup with the launch of the
OnePlus Ace 5 Pro
The OnePlus Ace 5 Pro is a powerhouse, driven by Qualcomm's latest flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, with configurations offering up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM. It also boasts a generous 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage, running on the intuitive Android 15-based ColorOS 15.
This device features advanced thermal management with a "double ice core VC" system for enhanced heat dissipation, along with a dedicated air duct design to quickly draw heat away from the chip. Gaming enthusiasts will appreciate the seamless experience provided by the Fengchi Gaming Core, delivering native 120 FPS gaming at 1080p resolution. In collaboration with Genshin Impact, OnePlus offers enhancements for an extraordinary gaming experience.
The smartphone flaunts a stunning 6.78-inch 120Hz LTPO AMOLED display, with a resolution of 2780×1264 pixels and protection from Crystal Shield Glass. The display impresses with a peak brightness of 4,500 nits, supporting Dolby Vision and HDR10+, and remains functional even with wet hands or while wearing gloves.
Under the display, there's a fingerprint scanner for biometric security, and the front houses a 16MP selfie camera. The rear camera consists of a circular module featuring a 50MP primary sensor (Sony IMX906 and OIS), an 8MP ultrawide lens with a 112° field of view, and a 2MP macro shooter. AI capabilities add a layer of sophistication, enabling features like removing unwanted objects from photos and correcting glare.
The OnePlus Ace 5 Pro is equipped with a robust 6,100 mAh silicon carbon battery, supporting 100W charging, including a specialized bypass charging option tailored for gaming activities.
Additional features of the OnePlus Ace 5 Pro include an X-axis linear motor, high-quality stereo speakers, multi-functional NFC, an IR blaster, and an IP65 rating for water and dust resistance. Connectivity options are top-notch with Wi-Fi 7 and a dedicated gaming Wi-Fi chip labeled G1.
OnePlus Ace 5 Pro Color Variants
The device will be available in three colors: purple, black, and a special edition white variant with a ceramic finish.
Storage options include 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, 16GB/256GB, 16GB/512GB, and 16GB/1TB, with prices set at CNY3,399 ($465/€450/INR39,670), CNY3,999 ($550/€530/INR46,670), CNY3,699 ($505/€490/INR43,170), CNY4,199 ($575/€555/INR49,000), and CNY4,699 ($645/€620/INR54,840), respectively. The special ceramic edition is available in 16GB/512GB and 16GB/1TB versions, costing an additional CNY100 ($14/€13/INR1,170) over standard models.
Introducing the OnePlus Ace 5
Next up is the OnePlus Ace 5, a more accessible alternative to the Ace 5 Pro, featuring a different processor, battery, and charging speed, alongside varied color options and without the gaming Wi-Fi chip. Nevertheless, it still supports 120 FPS gaming.
This model runs on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip and houses a capacious 6,415 mAh silicon carbon battery, capable of charging at 80W through a USB-C port.
The OnePlus Ace 5 comes in titanium, black, and celadon colors, with the latter featuring a ceramic finish. Storage options are similar to the Ace 5 Pro, with price tags of CNY2,299 ($315/€305/INR26,830), CNY2,799 ($385/€370/INR32,665), CNY2,499 ($340/€330/INR29,165), CNY2,999 ($410/€395/INR35,000), and CNY3,499 ($480/€460/INR40,835), corresponding to the various configurations. The celadon ceramic variant is offered exclusively in the 16GB/512GB and 16GB/1TB editions, with an additional cost of CNY100 ($14/€13/INR1,170).
