Samsung has unveiled a new line of microSD cards inspired by the iconic Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, aptly named the Sonic the Hedgehog PRO Plus series. These vibrant cards showcase the beloved characters—Sonic in blue, Knuckles in red, Tails in yellow, and Shadow in black—while offering the speed and reliability that Samsung's PRO Plus range is known for.
“Sonic has been a staple of pop culture for over three decades, appearing in countless games, TV series, and movies. With the Sonic the Hedgehog PRO Plus microSD cards, we merge the franchise's beloved characters with the exceptional performance of our microSDs, providing users with the ultimate ‘Sonic boost' for their devices,” stated Jim Kiczek, Vice President of Memory Marketing at Samsung Electronics America.
In terms of durability, Samsung's new microSD cards are built to last, featuring a robust design that can withstand drops from heights of over 16 feet (5 meters) and resist wear from up to 10,000 swipes. Each card also comes with a generous 10-year limited warranty.
Availability is set for January 2025, with the microSD cards priced at $24 for 128 GB, $37 for 256 GB, $69 for 512 GB, and $126 for 1 TB. These prices reflect Samsung's commitment to combining quality with fan-favorite themes, allowing users to store their data in style.
