Despite ongoing advancements in smartphone design, the long-awaited zero-bezel iPhone is still a distant dream for Apple enthusiasts. The company has been in collaboration with Samsung Display and LG Display for years, striving to develop a completely bezel-less screen. However, latest reports indicate that a release by 2026 is highly unlikely due to unresolved technological challenges.
Previously, Apple aimed for a launch of its zero-bezel model in either 2025 or 2026, but emerging news from Korea suggests that even the latter date is now doubtful. The key issue lies in the technology needed to achieve this ambitious design.

Apple's vision includes a flat screen that elegantly angles into the sides, known as a quad micro curve design. While this concept is gaining traction among Chinese smartphone manufacturers, Apple's approach draws notable inspiration from the screen design of the Apple Watch. The goal is to ensure minimal screen distortion at the edges, which complicates the production process.
The tech giant appears to have a clear vision for its future devices, but until the necessary production techniques are refined, fans may have to wait until at least 2027 for the realization of a zero-bezel iPhone.
