Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy Book5 Pro, following its earlier release of the Galaxy Book5 Pro 360. This new laptop is equipped with an Intel Lunar Lake processor featuring an advanced NPU that boasts a processing power of 47 TOPS.
With this technology, the Galaxy Book5 Pro can seamlessly integrate two powerful AI platforms: Samsung's Galaxy AI and Microsoft's Copilot+. It introduces the innovative “AI Select” function, enabling users to perform actions like image or text searching by circling content on the touchscreen.

The AI Select feature also supports OCR, allowing users to extract text from images and scan QR codes, leveraging Samsung's technology rather than Google's, as seen in Galaxy smartphones. The laptop is available in 14” and 16” variants, both boasting a Dynamic AMOLED 2X display enhanced with Vision Booster and anti-reflection properties.
The NPU enhances various functionalities, including the Photo Remaster feature, which can revitalize old photographs, alongside a real-time interpreter and Note Assist tools.
For connectivity, the Galaxy Book5 Pro offers Microsoft's Phone Link for Android device integration. It also features Galaxy-exclusive tools like Multi Control for cross-device control, Second Screen functionality to use a tablet as an extended display, and Quick Share for effortless file transfers among Galaxy devices.
With a robust battery lasting up to 25 hours, users can also enjoy immersive audio from four Dolby Atmos-enabled speakers during video playback.
Additionally, Samsung has upgraded the webcam with Staggered HDR technology, integrating multiple exposures for a striking image quality typically found in smartphones.

The laptop includes several connectivity options: two Thunderbolt 4 ports, one HDMI 2.1 port, one USB-A port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a microSD card reader.
The Samsung Galaxy Book5 Pro will be available in South Korea starting January 2, with no specific pricing disclosed yet. Early subscribers will receive a discount coupon redeemable from January 2 to March 31. The laptop will be offered in Gray and Silver colors.
