Samsung has rolled out the second beta version of One UI 7, which is its customized interface for Android 15, introducing an exciting new feature that revolutionizes how gamers can manage refresh rates for their favorite titles.
In previous One UI versions, users could restrict the frame rate in games to 48 Hz to extend battery life. The latest update, however, offers a choice between 60 Hz and 120 Hz, streamlining options for gamers.
New Refresh Rate Settings in One UI 7's Gaming Hub
This new setting can be accessed via the Gaming Hub/Game Booster application under the Gaming motion smoothness section. Samsung clarified that this enhancement will not influence games that already come with their own refresh rate settings. Furthermore, titles that only support a maximum of 60 Hz will not automatically enhance their performance to 120 Hz by simply changing this setting.
Additionally, users can now fine-tune performance settings such as maximum frame rate, resolution, and overall optimization for each game individually using Game Booster.
