Following months of beta testing that began in October, Nothing has officially launched the stable version of Nothing OS 3.0, which is based on Android 15, for its Nothing Phone (2) and Nothing Phone (2a). This update will be rolled out gradually, so users may not receive it immediately. Some devices may continue to receive the update until the end of the year.
To check for the update manually, users can navigate to Settings > System Update for their Nothing Phone (2) or (2a).

With the launch of Nothing OS 3.0, users can enjoy a new native Nothing Gallery app that includes advanced searching capabilities and enhanced editing tools like filters, markups, and suggestions. The lock screen has received a complete overhaul, featuring full customization options and new Shared Widgets to enhance social interactions. Additional new features include a Countdown Widget, AI-driven Smart Drawer for app management, improved Quick Settings, upgraded Pop-up View, redesigned typography across the system, and various visual and performance enhancements.
The update for the Nothing Phone (1), Nothing Phone (2a) Plus, and CMF Phone 1 is scheduled for early 2025.
