ZTE is at it again, revealing details about its upcoming devices through certification documents. The spotlight now shines on the nubia Focus 2 5G, identified by the model number Z2462N.
The original Focus, launched earlier this year, gained attention as an affordable option featuring a 108MP camera, a 5,000mAh battery, and 33W charging capabilities. There was also a Focus Pro variant that increased the screen size from 6.56” HD+ to 6.72” FHD+, provided optical image stabilization (OIS) for the 108MP camera, and included an additional 5MP ultra-wide camera lens.
Details on the Focus 2 remain scarce, but a low-resolution image from the EU Declaration of Conformity showcases the device, suggesting the presence of three rear camera lenses. This is an upgrade from the original Focus, which had just two lenses (the primary 108MP and a 2MP secondary).
Additionally, a Wi-Fi certification document indicates the device will run “Android V” (known as Vanilla Ice Cream or Android 15) and will support both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands for Wi-Fi 5 (ac). Bluetooth certification details are minimal.
Highlights of the original nubia Focus
Expected to feature next-generation connectivity, the nubia Focus 2 5G will carry on the legacy of 5G support from the original model. Leaks suggest that ZTE might also be working on a 4G variant. This year, it seems they may forgo a “Pro” model, positioning the 5G variant as the premium option.
