OnePlus has officially announced that it will launch its latest smartphones, the Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro, on December 26. This information came after the devices were spotted on the Oppo Store in China. Louis Jie, the president of OnePlus China, revealed that the standard Ace 5 will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, while the Ace 5 Pro will feature the more advanced Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset.
According to Jie, the performance of the OnePlus Ace 5 will be so formidable that it will effectively feel like an upgrade to Gen 3.5, promising a significant enhancement to the premium smartphone user experience.
Both models will feature innovative Glacier Battery Technology, employing a thinner Si/C battery design that boosts mAh capacity, although more precise specifications are still awaited.
Expected specifications for both models include a 6.78” LTPO AMOLED display and a camera setup comprising a 50 MP main sensor, a 50 MP telephoto lens, and a 2 MP macro camera. While they will likely share most hardware features, the Ace 5 may have a larger battery, while the Ace 5 Pro is anticipated to house a robust 6,100 mAh battery.
