Realme has officially unveiled its latest smartphones, the 14 Pro+ and 14 Pro, with an exciting emphasis on design and functionality. While detailed specifications remain mostly undisclosed, the standout feature confirmed is the incorporation of a cold-sensitive color-changing panel that enhances the aesthetics of the devices.
The high-end 14 Pro+ will include a triple-camera setup on its rear, in contrast to the dual-camera arrangement of the 14 Pro. One of the highlights of the camera system is the innovative MagicGlow, designed to aid in capturing stunning nighttime portraits with its new triple-flash system.
In collaboration with Valeur Designers, the cold-sensitive panel offers a unique twist by changing color due to low temperatures. Highlighted by a Pearl White base, the panel transitions to a vibrant blue when exposed to temperatures of 16 degrees Celsius or lower, a functionality differentiating it from traditional sunlight-activated color changes.
Notably, each Pearl White device is tailored uniquely through a meticulous process involving over 30 craftsmanship steps to create distinct patterns on each back panel. This attention to detail underscores Realme's commitment to blending style with personal expression.
The Realme 14 Pro+ boasts a remarkable 93.8% screen-to-body ratio and razor-thin bezels of 1.6 mm, though other sizing and resolution details are yet to be announced. Furthermore, it has earned IP68 and IP69 certification, proving its durability against water and accidental drops, and is TUV Rheinland-certified as a rugged smartphone.
Debuted at a launch event in Copenhagen, the 14 Pro+ will be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset and operate on Realme UI 6.0. This model will stand out with exclusive features such as a periscope telephoto lens and a quad-curved display, which will not be available on the regular 14 Pro variant.
