Doogee Previews Note60 W Wide-Screen Budget Smartphone Inspired by Huawei Pura X View

Doogee has given an early look at the Note60 W, a smartphone with an unusually wide display that appears to draw heavy design cues from the Huawei Pura X View. Unveiled at the 140th Canton Fair, the device signals that more affordable wide-format handsets may be on the way.

The Note60 W features a 6.38-inch screen believed to use a 5:3 aspect ratio, similar to the 6.39-inch panel on Huawei’s model. Although the diagonal size may sound modest, the phone’s shape is noticeably broader than conventional devices. The Huawei Pura X View reportedly measures 144.1mm in height and 87.0mm in width, while a large flagship like the iPhone 18 Pro Max is said to be 163.4mm tall and only 78.0mm wide.

According to the details shared so far, the Doogee phone will support a 90Hz refresh rate and launch with Android 17. It is expected to house a 6,500mAh battery within an 8.4mm-thick frame. That is a respectable endurance package, though it falls short of the Huawei Pura X View, which is rumored to pair a 7,000mAh battery with a slimmer 6.7mm body.

Doogee has not yet confirmed pricing, availability, or the full specification sheet. However, the Note60 W is expected to be positioned far below the Pura X View, which starts at CNY 6,000 (roughly $900). Current clues point toward a mid-range or entry-level device rather than a premium flagship.

The broader trend may not stop with Doogee. Reports suggest Coolpad is also developing a similar wide-body slab phone, indicating that this unconventional form factor could see renewed interest in budget and mid-tier segments.
