Perryman Company will provide grade 5 titanium enclosures for the iPhone Duo, with Apple committing up to $100 million over three years to support titanium that is melted, forged, and rolled using at least 80% recycled content. Apple is also expanding its relationship with Qnity Electronics in Delaware, which will manufacture advanced films required for the variable aperture system in the iPhone 18 Pro’s main camera.

The update also highlights growth among long-standing suppliers. Broadcom is expanding and modernizing its Fort Collins, Colorado site under a $1.5 billion investment announced in July, supporting a multiyear agreement to produce more than 15 billion chips in the U.S. Corning, which has worked with Apple since the original iPhone, makes specialty glass including Ceramic Shield in Harrodsburg, Kentucky, and by year-end will supply all cover glass for iPhones, including the Duo, and Apple Watches sold worldwide.

Coherent contributes vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser technology from Sherman, Texas, for Face ID and other iPhone and iPad features, including the redesigned Dynamic Island on the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. TSMC’s Arizona fab is expected to make more than 100 million chips for Apple this year, and Amkor’s Peoria, Arizona packaging and testing facility is progressing with Apple among its first customers.

Apple says it collaborates with suppliers in all 50 states and supports more than 450,000 American jobs. The American Manufacturing Program, first announced in August, is part of Apple’s $600 billion, four-year commitment to U.S. manufacturing. As part of its environmental goals, Apple’s direct suppliers are expected to power Apple-related manufacturing with renewable energy by the end of the decade, supporting the company’s aim to be carbon neutral across its full footprint by 2030.
