Apple’s iPhone Duo Shipping Dates Are Moving Up for Some Preorders

Source: Date:

Apple’s highly anticipated iPhone Duo may reach some customers sooner than expected. After strong preorder demand initially pushed shipping estimates into late January, a number of buyers now report that their delivery windows have been moved forward.

If you reserved the iPhone Duo early, it may be worth checking your order status. Several customers in different markets say Apple has shortened the wait, sometimes by several weeks.

Ray Wong from Gizmodo noted that multiple posts on X from Japan show preorder estimates shifting from November or December all the way up to October 23, the official launch date of the iPhone Duo.

The improved estimates are not limited to Japan. In a discussion on r/apple, several users said their delivery dates advanced by about two weeks. One order reportedly moved from December 2-9 to November 17-24, while others claimed even bigger jumps, including orders originally listed for January 25 shifting to late November.

However, not every preorder has benefited. Some customers still see the same estimate they received at launch, while a few report minor delays. One user said their original November 30 estimate was pushed back to December 7.

Apple’s online store was still showing a January 22 shipping date at the time of writing. Carrier estimates varied, with AT&T listing December 3, Verizon showing December 4, and T-Mobile estimating December 29-January 6.

The updated dates appear across multiple regions, carriers, and retailers, suggesting that Apple may have improved supply or that preorder demand is being processed more efficiently than first expected. In either case, some customers may receive Apple’s first foldable sooner than they originally anticipated.
