vivo is preparing to expand its Y600 series with a new model that puts battery capacity at the centre of the story. After appearing on the Google Play Console earlier this month, the vivo Y600 has now been officially confirmed for a China launch, and the company says it will feature a massive 10,000mAh battery.

The smartphone is scheduled to debut in China on October 30, with pre-orders expected to begin early next week. It will join the current Y600 family, which already includes the Y600 Pro, Y600 Turbo, and Y600i.

vivo is also using a durability-focused achievement to build hype around the phone. The company revealed that the Y600 secured a Guinness World Record for the longest continuous livestream test on a smartphone. During the test held on August 11, the device reportedly lasted 32 hours and 37 minutes.

In official visuals, the handset is shown in two colour options and carries a dual rear camera setup. Its design closely resembles the recently launched vivo S2 FE, fuelling speculation that the Y600 may be a rebranded version of that device.

While vivo has not disclosed the full specifications yet, a tipster claims the upcoming Y600 will run on the Dimensity 7300e chipset, include a 50MP main camera, and carry an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
