OnePlus may be getting ready to introduce a new Turbo Pro smartphone, and the early leaks point to a device that takes several major features directly from the OnePlus 16. According to information shared by tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the phone could launch around the end of the year with premium-level specifications. The original post was later edited, which often happens when brands prefer to keep hardware details under wraps.
The rumored OnePlus Turbo Pro is expected to feature a 6.78-inch flat 1.5K display with a fast 185Hz refresh rate. Inside, it may be powered by Qualcomm’s unannounced 3nm SM8845 Pro chipset, which has also been linked to the iQOO Z12 Turbo and could eventually be marketed as either the Snapdragon 8 Gen 6 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Pro.
OnePlus Nord 6The leak also claims the phone could include a 200MP main camera with a large sensor, along with a battery capacity of at least 9,000 mAh. Engineering samples in the series are reportedly being tested with batteries as large as 10,000 mAh. OnePlus may even offer an external cooling fan accessory, possibly connected through a case, for users who want better sustained performance during gaming or heavy workloads.
Many of these specifications sound familiar because they closely match the recently revealed OnePlus 16, including the display size, refresh rate, main camera resolution, and battery capacity. The biggest difference appears to be the chipset, as the OnePlus 16 is rumored to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6.
It is still unclear whether the phone will be released under the OnePlus Turbo Pro name, become the OnePlus Turbo 7 Pro, or use another designation altogether. There is also no confirmation yet on whether it will stay exclusive to China or receive a wider international release like the Turbo 6, which later launched globally as the Nord 6.
