In an exciting development for OnePlus 15 users, the company has opened registrations for the ColorOS 17 Open Beta, allowing select users a chance to experience the new software before its official global launch. This initiative comes just days before Oppo's official announcement scheduled for October 13.
This beta version is not the final iteration of ColorOS 17. Currently, it is only available to users in India, with the application period running from October 9 to October 12. Enthusiastic users eager to try out the new features should proceed with caution and ensure their data is backed up, as this preliminary build may contain bugs and other issues. Should users wish to revert to OxygenOS 16 after trying the beta, they can do so using OnePlus's rollback package, though this process will result in a complete data wipe.
Once the final version of ColorOS 17 is released, OnePlus 15 users will fully transition away from OxygenOS, embracing the new operating system. While Oppo has kept details under wraps, they are hinting at enhancements such as "fluid motion" and "refined visuals," suggesting that the update will bring about significant UI improvements along with new features, all to be unveiled on October 13.
