Amazon has just announced the arrival of its latest streaming device, the Fire TV Stick 4K (2026), redefining user experience with faster processing and a sleek design. Paired with a newly designed Fire TV Remote, this device promises to deliver an unmatched streaming experience.
The Fire TV Stick 4K (2026) boasts an impressive 20%-40% speed increase compared to competing 4K streaming sticks, according to Amazon. While it retails for $60, there’s a promotional offer allowing you to grab it for just $30 during Prime Big Deal Days.
Featuring a powerful quad-core 1.7GHz processor and 8GB of internal storage, the device supports Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, and LE. It is capable of decoding 4K video at 60fps using various codecs including H.264, H.265, VP9, and AV1. Users can enjoy HDR formats like HDR10, HDR10+, and HLG, although those seeking Dolby Vision will find it in the Fire TV Stick 4K Max, which additionally supports Wi-Fi 6E.

One noteworthy change is the shift to Vega OS from the Android-based Fire OS, which allows for improved app support with over 2,000 new apps added in the past year. Your favorite streaming services such as Netflix, Disney+, YouTube, and Prime Video are included, alongside others like Peacock and Tubi. You can even view your Instagram feed directly on your television.

Vega OS also enables the use of local video players like VLC, music streaming services such as Spotify, and various gaming platforms including Xbox. Additionally, it supports VPN connections for privacy and security purposes.
Amazon has released a demo showcasing the fast performance of the Fire TV Stick 4K (2026) compared to other 4K devices and smart TVs.
The new stick adopts the slim design of the Fire TV Stick HD introduced earlier, allowing it to be powered through a USB port directly from your TV with a feature Amazon refers to as Direct Power. This eliminates the hassle of locating an available outlet behind the TV.
