Samsung has officially launched its first-ever clip-on earphones, the Galaxy Buds On, in South Korea, just a day after leaked images of the product made waves online. These innovative earphones are designed to provide comfort during extended use, making them ideal for active users who enjoy outdoor activities such as running, while also keeping them aware of their surroundings.
The Galaxy Buds On showcase a unique clip-on design paired with touch controls for effortless music playback and call management. The strategic placement of sensors located at the back of the buds enhances user interaction.
Powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon S7 Gen 1 chipset in conjunction with a Class D amplifier, these earphones promise a remarkable battery life of up to 9.5 hours of continuous use on a single charge, as stated by Samsung.
Equipped with three microphones and an innovative bone conduction-based vibration sensor, the Galaxy Buds On excel at ensuring clear calls by minimizing background noise and effectively detecting the user's voice.
When paired with compatible Galaxy smartphones or tablets, users can leverage the power of Galaxy AI, enabling voice-activated tasks and seamless integration with Gemini Live. The earphones also come with Head Gesture support, allowing users to manage calls, check notifications, and control alarms simply by using gestures.
The Galaxy Buds On are priced at KRW 299,999 (approximately $220) and are set to be available in South Korea starting October 27. Samsung plans to gradually introduce the earphones to additional markets in the near future.
