Introducing Beats 360: Customizable Wireless Headphones with Advanced Features

Source: Date:

Beats has just unveiled its latest innovation in personal audio, the Beats 360—an advanced pair of full-sized wireless headphones designed for fitness enthusiasts and audiophiles alike. With a unique blend of customization options, durability measures, and cutting-edge technology, the Beats 360 promises to elevate your listening experience, whether you're at the gym or on the go.

The Beats 360 are crafted from robust materials, aiming for prolonged wearability. With an IPX4 water-resistance rating—the first for Beats headphones—these headphones are built to withstand the rigors of an active lifestyle. By default, they come with Performance knit mesh ear cushions, which provide comfort and breathability, but can also be switched out for plush soft leather cushions for a more luxurious feel.

Available in four colors—Black, Cloud, Pink, and Sky—the Beats 360 allow for even further customization. The Performance knit cushions are available in a range of colors including Navy and Volt, while the UltraPlus cushions can be swapped in Black or Cloud. Each replacement kit includes both the cushions and a matching headband, enabling users to mix and match to suit their personal style.

Equipped with a new custom high dynamic range amplifier and specially designed dual-magnet dynamic drivers, the Beats 360 promise superior sound quality. The dual neodymium ring magnets enhance output by 12dB compared to the Beats Studio drivers and provide improved dampening and rigidity.

While the Beats 360 do not incorporate Apple's H1 or H2 chip, they feature a proprietary chip developed by Beats itself. Like the AirPods Max, the design places all electronics—including the battery and antenna—within each earcup, minimizing wiring and signal loss. Despite not having an Apple chip, the Beats 360 maintain compatibility with various Apple features such as Spatial Audio, one-touch pairing, hands-free Siri, audio sharing, automatic device switching, and Find My support. Android users won't miss out either, as these headphones come equipped with Fast Pair and other integration options through the Beats Android app.

Featuring advanced active noise cancellation technology, Beats claims that the Beats 360 can block 1.75 times more ambient noise compared to the Beats Studio Pro, marking it as the best in noise cancelation within the Beats lineup. This feature dynamically adjusts to your environment using nine MEMS microphones and a specialized chip in each earcup. Additionally, the new transparency mode provides a more natural listening experience. The Adaptive EQ further enhances sound quality by tailoring audio performance to the unique shape of each listener's ear and head, ensuring consistent quality regardless of volume or audio mode selected.

Battery life is impressive, with the Beats 360 boasting up to 32 hours of playtime, regardless of whether you’re using active noise cancellation. Unlike its predecessors, the Beats 360 lack wired audio functionality.

The Beats 360 retail for $350, and Cushion Kits are offered at $50, with an introductory price of just $10 available now. You can purchase them from apple.com, at Apple Stores, and soon through various retail channels.
