Honor's Magic9 Series Set to Launch on September 28 with Stunning Design and Advanced Camera Features

Honor is gearing up to unveil its highly anticipated Magic9 flagship series, with an official launch date set for September 28 in China. Alongside the announcement, the company has shared exciting details regarding the design and camera specifications of these new smartphones, which are now available for pre-order.

In a recent post on Weibo, Honor confirmed that the Magic9 series will make its debut on September 28. While specific details regarding the number of models being released remain limited, insider information suggests that the lineup may include the standard Magic9, as well as the upgraded Magic9 Pro or Magic9 Pro Max.

Honor Magic9 Design

The launch teasers highlight noteworthy camera features, including a remarkable dual 200MP rear camera arrangement. The primary camera is equipped with a 200MP 1/1.28-inch sensor and an f/1.57 aperture, while the secondary camera is a 200MP 1/1.4-inch telephoto sensor with an f/2.6 aperture. Additionally, the device will support a new 500mm teleconverter kit, complementing the already available 200mm teleconverter.

Design-wise, the Honor Magic9 series showcases a large rectangular rear camera module featuring three distinct cutouts. The leftmost cutout houses the telephoto camera and LED flash, augmented by the ARRI logo, while the other two cameras are placed in individual circular cutouts. The handset is presented in a striking new Moss Green colorway, further enhancing its modern appeal. At the front, a pill-shaped camera cutout accommodates the selfie camera and a 3D ToF sensor, with reports suggesting the Magic9 Pro/Pro Max may debut the first Android phones with a square selfie sensor.

As previously mentioned, the Magic9 series is currently available for pre-order in China. In addition, Honor has teased that it will introduce its new MagicOS 11 Android skin next week, promising more exciting innovations to come.
