In an exciting development for smartphone enthusiasts, the upcoming iQOO 16 is now confirmed to house an impressive 8,400 mAh battery. This update comes from the reputable tipster Digital Chat Station, who had previously estimated the battery capacity at 8,500 mAh. Despite the slight reduction, the new capacity still marks a significant upgrade over the iQOO 15's 7,000 mAh.

The iQOO 16 is expected to retain the same lightning-fast 100W wired charging capabilities as its predecessor, the iQOO 15. Additionally, it is rumored to support wireless charging, although the charging speed remains uncertain— the iQOO 15 supported 40W wireless charging.

Among other exciting specifications, the iQOO 16 is anticipated to feature a 6.85-inch 165Hz flat 2K display, a 3D ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, a 50MP primary camera using the OmniVision OV50Q sensor, and an impressive IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance rating.
A dedicated graphics chip is also expected to enhance the performance, as spotted on Geekbench with the forthcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 SoC, paired with 16GB of RAM and running on Android 17.
