Xiaomi has officially launched its latest wearable, the Smart Band 11, in China, and registrations are now open for eager customers. Distinct from the Smart Band 11 Active, this new model promises innovation and improvements, leading to speculation about a potential Smart Band 11 Pro in the near future.
The Smart Band 11 features the brand's signature pill-shaped display, maintaining the same 1.72-inch AMOLED panel size as its predecessor. However, the display brightness receives a significant upgrade, now reaching up to 2,000 nits, making it easier to see in outdoor conditions compared to the Smart Band 10's 1,500 nits.
This year's model boasts a sleeker design, measuring just 9.99mm in thickness and featuring a slimmed-down 2mm display bezel. Weighing in at a mere 15.58 grams, the Smart Band 11 is lighter than last year's version. However, Xiaomi's method of advertising the dimensions excludes the strap and heart rate sensor, so real-world measurements may vary slightly.
As with previous iterations, Xiaomi offers various shell material options, including ceramic and metal editions, allowing for personalization based on user preference.
In terms of functionality, the Smart Band 11 retains its 5ATM water-resistance rating while providing comprehensive fitness tracking capabilities such as heart rate and blood oxygen monitoring, stress tracking, and dedicated features for female health. It supports an impressive 150 sports modes and introduces advanced sleep management with heart rate variability (HRV) insights powered by AI.
Battery life has also seen improvement, with Xiaomi claiming up to 21 days of usage on a single charge. NFC capabilities are included, but not in every variant of the band. The Smart Band 11 operates on HyperOS 4 and is compatible with both Android and iOS devices.
At present, the Smart Band 11 is available for reservation exclusively through Xiaomi’s domestic channels and major e-commerce platforms in China. The starting price is set at 289 Yuan (~$43), increasing to 339 Yuan (~$50) for the NFC-enabled version, while the ceramic and metal editions are priced at 399 Yuan (~$60). The assortment of band options, including different materials, may further affect the total cost. Details regarding international release remain unannounced.
