Xiaomi has officially introduced its latest wearable, the Smart Band 11, in China, sparking excitement among tech enthusiasts and fitness lovers alike. With registrations already underway in the domestic market, this latest addition promises to elevate the fitness tracking experience to new heights. It's important to note that this device is separate from the already existing Smart Band 11 Active, and we anticipate a potential Smart Band 11 Pro in the future as part of Xiaomi's expanding lineup.
The Smart Band 11 continues with the classic pill-shaped display, boasting a 1.72-inch AMOLED screen—just like its predecessor. However, the standout feature of this model is its impressive brightness, which can reach up to 2,000 nits, enhancing outdoor visibility significantly compared to the Smart Band 10’s maximum of 1,500 nits.
In terms of design, Xiaomi has successfully slimmed down the product, with the body measuring under 10mm thick (specifically 9.99mm). Featuring a mere 2mm display bezel, the Smart Band 11 weighs only 15.58 grams. While this weights less than the previous model, it's worth noting that Xiaomi's method of calculating dimensions might result in slightly different real-world measurements, as they do not include the strap and heart rate sensor.
As part of its design offerings, the Smart Band 11 will be available in various shell materials, including ceramic and metal editions, which adds to its personalization options.
The new Smart Band remains true to its heritage, boasting a 5ATM water-resistance rating and a comprehensive suite of health tracking features. This includes heart rate, blood oxygen monitoring, and stress tracking, along with specialized features for women's health. Users can select from a robust 150 sports modes, and the device now offers advanced sleep management capabilities, including heart rate variability (HRV) monitoring and AI-driven sleep insights.
One of the most impressive advancements is the extended battery life, promising up to 21 days on a single charge—an improvement over the previous model. Notably, the Smart Band 11 will also support NFC functionality, though this feature may not be available in every variant. The smartwatch operates on HyperOS 4 and is compatible with both Android and iOS devices.
At present, the Smart Band 11 can only be reserved through Xiaomi's domestic channels and popular Chinese e-commerce sites. The starting price is set at 289 Yuan (approximately $43). For those interested in the NFC feature, the price rises to 339 Yuan (~$50), while the ceramic and metal editions are priced at 399 Yuan (~$60). A variety of bands, including some premium options, could result in an even higher total price. As of now, there's no information regarding its international availability.
