Lava Debuts in the UK with the Launch of Agni 4N Smartphone

In an exciting move to expand its global presence, Indian smartphone manufacturer Lava has officially launched the Agni 4N in the UK. This launch marks the company's debut in the competitive UK smartphone market, bringing with it a range of impressive features and specifications designed to offer consumers a premium experience at an accessible price.

The Lava Agni 4N showcases a sleek metal design and boasts a striking 6.67" AMOLED display protected by Gorilla Glass 5. Users can enjoy a high resolution of 2,712x1,220 pixels, coupled with a fluid 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 2,400 nits, allowing for vivid colors with the capability of displaying 1.07 billion shades.

Under the hood, the Agni 4N is powered by the Dimensity 8350 SoC, paired with 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage. It comes pre-installed with stock Android 16, offering a clean and bloatware-free experience. Notably, Lava promises two future Android OS upgrades and three years of security updates.

The smartphone also introduces Vayu AI (meaning air), a unique feature described by Lava as an intelligent AI companion. Vayu AI is designed for seamless voice interactions and includes functionalities like Expert AI Agents, AI Text Assistant, AI Call Summary, AI Photo Editor, AI Image Generator, and Document & Image Analyzer.

For photography enthusiasts, the Agni 4N is equipped with a 50MP front-facing camera and a dual-camera setup on the rear, which includes a 50MP primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and an 8MP ultrawide camera boasting a 112° field of view. Both cameras can capture stunning 4K videos at 60 frames per second.

Powering the device is a robust 5,000 mAh battery that supports 66W fast charging, enabling it to charge from 0% to 50% in just 19 minutes. However, the retail packaging will not include a power adapter, which is a notable consideration for consumers.

Additional features of the Lava Agni 4N include an in-display fingerprint scanner, an infrared blaster, NFC support, dual stereo speakers, and a cutting-edge 3D VC liquid cooling system. The device also carries an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance and features a customizable Action Key that allows for over 100 programmable actions.

For those who find the Agni 4N familiar, it's worth noting that it is a variant of the Agni 4 originally launched in India last November. The Agni 4 was priced at INR 24,999 (£195) but is currently retailing for INR 32,999 (£255) in India.

The Lava Agni 4N will be available in two color options: Phantom Black and Lunar Mist, both featuring a matte AG glass back. Currently, it is being offered in a single configuration of 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, priced at £499 (INR 64,085). Sales in the UK will commence via Amazon starting September 4.
