Xiaomi is set to bring the Redmi 17 5G to the Indian market next week, with the official launch scheduled for September 3. This latest addition to the Redmi lineup promises a notable upgrade tailored specifically for Indian users, alongside retaining the core features that make the device appealing.

According to teasers released by Redmi India, the standout enhancement is a larger battery capacity. The Indian variant of the Redmi 17 5G will house a 7,900 mAh battery, offering a 400mAh increase over the global model. Despite the increase in battery size, the phone will continue to support 45W wired fast charging and 22.5W reverse wired charging, ensuring quick top-ups and power sharing capabilities.

Besides this battery boost, the Redmi 17 5G’s specifications remain consistent with previous announcements. The device will be powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chipset, feature a 50MP primary camera for sharp and detailed photography, and boast a smooth 120Hz refresh rate display. Color options available at launch will include black, blue, and a vibrant orange, catering to diverse style preferences.
