Nothing OS 5.0 Open Beta Launches for Nothing Phone (3)
In an exciting development for users of Nothing products, the company has announced the launch of the Nothing OS 5.0 open beta, which is based on Android 17. As the rollout begins, the first update is now available for those who own the Nothing Phone (3), allowing them to test out the new features and improvements.
To participate in the beta program, users will need to download the latest version of the Nothing Beta Hub app from the designated webpage. This app serves as the gateway to updating your device with the open beta version of the software.
After installing the Nothing Beta Hub app, navigate to Settings > System > Nothing Beta Hub, then tap on Check Version before selecting Join Beta to register. The open beta build will then be delivered as a standard over-the-air update. If the update does not appear right away, users can manually check for it by going to Settings > System > System updates.
It’s important to note that this is beta software and may contain bugs or instability. Therefore, it’s recommended to avoid using it on your primary device unless you're willing to deal with potential issues. Always ensure that data is backed up before venturing into beta testing.
If users wish to revert back to a stable version of Nothing OS, this can be done through the Nothing Beta Hub in Settings. Just click on Request Rollback, but remember that doing so will erase all data from your device.
