Although the unveiling of these innovative devices was anticipated to coincide with the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro launch, new insights indicate that Apple is still aiming for a 2027 release.

A recent report from Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reveals that despite the intriguing demo footage recently leaked online, which was discovered in the macOS 26.7 release candidate, Apple is facing several hurdles, particularly concerning privacy issues. Gurman emphasizes that the company is not rushing, as the complexity of the technology continues to pose challenges.

According to insiders, Apple is working on two variants of its forthcoming AirPods, known by their codenames B790 and B798. The B790 model is said to be a modified version of the AirPods Pro 3, designed with enhanced sensors and AI functionalities. This is the model featured in the leaked demo. In contrast, the B798 is believed to be a new generation of AirPods Pro, featuring integrated cameras.
