The Motorola Edge 70 Max comes equipped with 256GB of storage, offering a choice between 8GB or 12GB of RAM. The pricing is set at €750, £700, or INR 59,999.

Inside the box, users will find the expected cable and case; however, it’s worth noting that the included case is not MagSafe-compatible. Interestingly, lower-tier Motorola models have featured MagSafe cases in their packaging. Additionally, there is no charger provided, even though the Edge 70 Max can handle 90W charging, which means users will have to purchase a compatible adapter separately.

Before diving into the design aspects, let's review the specifications of the Moto Edge 70 Max. The device flaunts an impressive 6.82-inch 1440p LTPO AMOLED display with a maximum refresh rate of 144Hz. Powering the phone is the robust 3nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC, complemented by a dual-camera setup on the rear: a 50MP wide-angle lens and an 8MP ultrawide camera, alongside a 32MP front-facing camera. A hefty 7,100mAh battery supports both 90W wired and 25W wireless charging methods.

Everything looks solid on the hardware front. The software runs on Motorola’s smooth and user-friendly Hello UI based on Android 16.

Holding the Motorola Edge 70 Max feels both solid and substantial. Its metal frame combined with a glass back delivers a premium feel, albeit with a tendency to be slippery. During our initial testing, the phone slipped from a height of approximately 1 meter onto concrete, resulting in minor scratches to the frame but no significant damage, thanks to its MIL-STD-810H compliance. This robustness is one of the manufacturer’s highlighted selling points for the Edge 70 Max. The Dark Shadow variant we reviewed has a shiny finish that reflects light beautifully, making it an appealing choice—just be cautious about hiding it with a plain rubber case.
