A recent leak suggests that Vivo is gearing up for the launch of the S2 in India, serving as the successor to the Vivo S1, which debuted in 2019. New information has surfaced regarding the launch date, first sale date, design, and key specifications of the device.
Tipster Abhishek Yadav has reported on X that the Vivo S2 will be unveiled in India on August 6, with sales anticipated to commence on August 11.
The smartphone is expected to be available in two configurations: 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB, offered in Regal Bronze, Sapphire Blue, and Silk White colors.
Additionally, another leak has showcased the phone's design, which bears similarities to the Vivo X300 FE. The device features a pill-shaped horizontal rear camera module and will be available in three color options.
Promotional materials have revealed that the phone will feature a curved display and a 50MP main rear camera.
Reports about the return of the Vivo S series to India first emerged in May, indicating that the Vivo S2 would be positioned as a mid-range offering, priced between INR 45,000 and INR 50,000.
Recent leaks also suggest that the Vivo S2 will be equipped with a 6.59-inch OLED display, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens, and a robust 7,000mAh battery.
Vivo is expected to begin teasing the new S series smartphone in the upcoming days.
