In May, we learned that Vivo is set to revive its S series in India with the introduction of the S2, which follows the S1 launched in 2019. However, given the elapsed time, it is not expected to be a traditional successor.
A teaser image of the upcoming device has recently surfaced, revealing some intriguing details. The S2 is rumored to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset.

The phone is anticipated to feature a 6.59-inch OLED display with a "1.5K" resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Additionally, it is expected to include an in-display fingerprint scanner, a 50MP main camera, a 50MP periscope telephoto camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 32MP selfie camera. With a battery capacity rumored to exceed 7,000 mAh, the device is also said to support 80W wired charging, as well as wireless and reverse wireless charging.
While the exact launch date for the Vivo S2 remains unclear, the company appears to be gearing up for a teaser campaign, suggesting an unveiling may be just a few weeks away. Stay tuned for updates.
