Poco X8 Confirmed: Features and Specifications Unveiled from HyperOS Code

Although the Poco X8 Pro and X8 Pro Max were announced in March, many assumed that the standard Poco X8 had been canceled due to a lack of updates. Recent findings, however, suggest otherwise.

Insights from Xiaomi's HyperOS source code, shared by user Kacper Skryzpek, provide compelling evidence for the existence of the Poco X8, which is expected to feature a 50MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor. Notably, the Poco X8 appears to be a rebranded version of the recently launched Chinese Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G, alongside the regular Redmi Note 17.

Furthermore, this means that the Poco X8 will likely be equipped with a substantial 9,000 mAh battery, although EU regulations might lead to a reduction in capacity for that market. Nonetheless, the global release of the Poco X8 should still show significant improvements over its predecessor.

The report also indicates that the global version of the Redmi Note 17 Pro will feature an additional 8MP ultrawide camera on the rear.
