According to a recent report by Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, OpenAI is set to launch its first device: a screen-less smart speaker. Designed for indoor use, it will be portable and powered by a rechargeable battery.
This smart speaker will offer features typical of similar devices, including the ability to control smart home appliances, play media, answer questions, respond to messages, and, importantly, it will integrate ChatGPT. The chatbot will use an advanced version of the new ChatGPT voice mode, allowing for genuine back-and-forth conversations, including interruptions from both the device and the user.
