Poco M8 Power: A Rebranded Redmi Note 17 Set for India Launch

Source: Date:

Earlier today, Redmi announced the Redmi Note 17 and Note 17 Pro in China. The Redmi Note 17 is identified by the model number 26021RN18C. Simultaneously, references to a Poco M8 Power have emerged in the latest HyperOS firmware, bearing the model number 26021PC18I.

To clarify, "RN" indicates Redmi while "PC" signifies Poco. The final letter in the model number specifies the target region: "C" for China and "I" for India. With this information, it appears that the Poco M8 Power is confirmed for release in India, and potentially other markets as well.

Given its model number, the Poco M8 Power is likely a rebranded version of the Chinese Redmi Note 17. Whether the global or Indian versions of the Redmi Note 17 will feature different specifications compared to the Chinese variant remains uncertain. Xiaomi is known for marketing similar devices under various names across different sub-brands.

If the Poco M8 Power indeed shares specs with the Chinese Redmi Note 17, users can expect a 7-inch 1080x2396 OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,800 nits, powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 SoC. It will likely offer 6 or 8GB of RAM, options for 128 or 256GB of storage, a 50MP main camera, an 8MP selfie camera, and an impressive 8,000 mAh battery with support for 45W wired charging.
