iPhone 18 Pro Battery Leaks, Redmi K90 Ultra Launch, Tech News Week 27

As we enter the second half of 2026, anticipation builds for Apple’s upcoming fall launch, expected to unveil the foldable iPhone Ultra alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max. Recent leaks indicate that the iPhone 18 Pro will feature a substantial battery capacity of 5,235 mAh for the physical SIM version, and an even larger 5,425 mAh for the eSIM variant.

Xiaomi recently introduced the Redmi K90 Ultra in China, featuring the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, a built-in active cooling fan, and a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate. For photography enthusiasts, it offers a 50MP main camera with a 1/1.55" sensor and an 8MP ultrawide camera. The K90 Ultra is equipped with an 8,550mAh battery, supporting 100W wired charging and 22.5W reverse charging. It starts at CNY 2,999 (approximately $441) with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage and is expected to be available outside China under the Poco brand.

Nothing has been teasing its upcoming Phone (4b), set to launch on July 7. The phone will be available in blue, black, and white, featuring a 6.7-inch AMOLED display, Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 SoC, a 50MP main camera, and a 6,000 mAh battery.

Returning to the iPhone 18 Pro leaks, a drop test video has emerged, confirming that the 18 Pro will bear a striking resemblance to the iPhone 17 Pro. Additionally, a potential launch date of September 8 has been suggested.

We have also seen dummy units of the iPhone Ultra and reports indicating that the 18 Pro series will utilize Qualcomm modems in the US, while other regions may feature Apple's own C2 modem.

The Samsung Galaxy A27 has arrived for review, while the OnePlus N6 launched in India with a Dimensity 6360 Max chipset, an 8,000mAh battery, and an initial price of INR 22,999 ($243).
