In anticipation of its launch next week, RedMagic has released additional details about its upcoming gaming-focused tablet. The RedMagic Gaming Tablet 5 Pro is set to debut in China on June 30 and boasts a liquid cooling system.

Notably, the Gaming Tablet 5 Pro will come equipped with a built-in PC emulator, enabling users to play AAA PC games straight out of the box.

The company demonstrated the emulator in action through a Weibo video. According to RedMagic, they have developed a proprietary translation layer that integrates into its Game Space app, allowing x86 applications to run on the tablet.

RedMagic asserts that the emulator can run games at up to 2K resolution with a 144Hz refresh rate.

Users will have the ability to import their game libraries from Steam or install games using EXE files. The video also showcases the tablet in combination with a RedMagic controller.

In addition to the emulator, RedMagic has confirmed several key specifications of the Gaming Tablet 5 Pro.

The device will feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, a 9.06-inch OLED display with a 2.4K resolution, a 185Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness of up to 1,600 nits.

Furthermore, the RedMagic Gaming Tablet 5 Pro will house an 8,500mAh battery that supports 80W fast charging and includes dual USB Type-C ports.

RedMagic is also expected to introduce the tablet globally under the name RedMagic Astra 2.
